Moisturizing is a very important step in skin care

Moisturizing is a very important step in skin care. Skin of any type requires hydration both from the inside and outside, regardless of the season.

I hope you remember the importance of drinking regimen and keep it throughout the day to avoid dehydration. The same rule applies to skin. A good cream helps not only to moisturize the skin, but also to retain moisture inside to prevent dehydration.

How do I know if my skin is not getting enough moisture?

Check if you have at least a few of these items, then you should think about more intensive skin hydration:

  • - frequent irritation and redness
  • -vessels and capillaries became visible
  • - uneven skin texture
  • -constant feeling of tightness, especially after washing
  • -pale skin, dull, gray complexion
  • -dryness and peeling in different areas of the skin: forehead, cheeks, nasolabial folds
  • - mimic wrinkles appeared in the area around the eyes and lips

How to choose a moisturizer?

The first thing to do is determine your skin type. To do this, sign up for skin diagnostics with a cosmetologist or dermatologist. After visiting a specialist, you will know exactly what type of skin you have and its condition, which will allow you to quickly and efficiently choose the care products you need.

And so imagine that you already know your skin type. But there is such a variety of jars around that you get lost and do not know what to look for when choosing a moisturizer.

Owners of dry skin should choose creams aimed at deep respect and nutrition. Usually in the composition of such creams you can find hyaluronic acid, beta-gluca, peptides, alpha-lipoic acid, collagen, retinol, vitamin C, panthenol, white truffle, various oils, plant extracts and marine ingredients. These creams have a more nourishing and thicker texture.

If you have combination skin, then the cream should simultaneously moisturize and nourish, and control the production of skin sebum, where necessary. You should look for creams with soothing active ingredients, such as cucumber, aloe, calendula, centella asiatica, green tea. Also in the composition may be light oils, salicylic and hyaluronic acid, vitamin E. Such creams usually have a lighter cream or gel texture.

Oily skin needs even more active hydration in order to normalize the functioning of the sebaceous glands. The less moisture, the oily skin begins to produce even more sebum. Creams for oily skin, in addition to moisturizing ingredients (hyaluronic acid, glycine, aloe and other soothing ingredients), should contain components that are aimed at relieving inflammation - for example, salicylic acid, zinc; remove oily sheen and mattify the skin - chamomile, green tea, panthenol, charcoal, etc. Creams suitable for oily skin have the lightest, gel texture that is quickly absorbed without leaving a greasy sheen and sticky film. It is important that the cream does not clog pores and does not cause inflammation.

For a normal skin type, it is necessary to maintain an optimal moisture balance and protect against aggressive environmental factors. Choose a cream that moisturizes, nourishes, restores, regulates sebum production, does not clog pores and soothes. As part of these creams, you can notice: hyaluronic acid, beta-gluca, glycerin, aloe, algae extracts, thermal water.

Apply moisturizer twice a day:

- in the morning after waking up and morning washing. Try to apply the cream half an hour or an hour before leaving the house!

- in the evening before going to bed. It is better to do this at least half an hour or an hour before bedtime, so that the cream is completely absorbed by the skin, and does not moisturize your pillow instead of your face.
