The refrigerator and what skincare products should be stored in it?

There is a lot of advice online about storing cosmetics in the refrigerator. A fair question arises, does it make sense to keep all skin care products in the refrigerator? The short answer is no. However, some products do make sense to store in a cool place. Let's take a closer look at this question.
Vitamin C is probably the only ingredient that should really be kept in the refrigerator. The explanation is simple: ascorbic acid, the most effective version of vitamin C for skin, is unfortunately very unstable, especially in aqueous solutions, and oxidizes very quickly. This process can be slowed, but not prevented, by storing it in a cool place. If you store a product containing ascorbic acid in the refrigerator, the effectiveness of the products will last longer.
By the way, there are now derivatives of vitamin C, which are more stable, but less effective for the skin. When it comes to vitamin C, you always have to compromise, but storing it in the refrigerator can extend the effectiveness of products.
Sheet masks and hydrogel patches
Sheet masks can definitely be kept in the refrigerator; no matter what ingredients are in them. Sheet masks are nice to touch when they are cool, and it also helps reduce swelling. If you haven't tried them yet, be sure to give them a try and keep sheet masks in the refrigerator. The same goes for hydrogel patches. In this case, the anti-puffiness properties of the patches are enhanced.
Facial Sprays
Facial sprays also give an extra boost of freshness when they are cold. The sprays provide the skin with plenty of moisture, refresh it and do not leave a sticky effect.
Jade roller and Gua Sha plates
Cosmetic tools such as jade rollers or Gua Sha plates can of course also be kept in the refrigerator, in which case the effect on the skin is enhanced. Such a treatment stimulates blood circulation, after which the complexion becomes fresh.
Other serums and creams
Theoretically, other products do not have to be in the refrigerator, but storing them there is certainly not a problem. Only oils should be stored at room temperature. Moisturizing serums or gel creams also take on a particularly refreshing effect in the refrigerator, and if you like that, you can certainly store these products in the refrigerator.
