Cosmetics with acids for summer

Acids are phenomenal active ingredients with a wide range of action, and if correctly matched to the skin's needs, they can effectively improve its condition. Their use is mainly limited to the autumn and winter months when there is considerably less UV exposure. Did you know that there are acids that can also be used safely in summer?
Characteristics and Effects of Acids
Acids are one of the most popular categories of raw materials used in cosmetics for home care as well as in professional cosmetic products. The best known and most widely used in cosmetics are AHA (alpha hydroxy), BHA (beta hydroxy) and PHA (polyhydroxy) acids.
That is why they are so popular: the systematic use of cosmetics with acids can really reduce inflammation, wrinkles and pigmentation. That is why they are effective in treating most skin problems.
When using acids, don't forget to apply high sun protection creams to prevent irritation, redness, dryness or sunburn. Importantly, acids can be used successfully throughout the year, but you need to apply plenty of sunscreen and remember to renew it every 2 hours.
So should you give up acid cosmetics if you are unable to provide systematic SPF protection? There are some acids that are not photosensitizing. Because we know that summer is the season for vacation trips, we've prepared a little cheat sheet for you on which acids you can successfully incorporate into your skincare routine on hot summer days.
Acids are safe for summer use
Azelaic acid - great for rosacea and all inflammatory skin conditions as well as uneven skin color, lightens age spots and prevents the formation of new age spots.
Mandelic acid - designed for impure, dull skin, the so-called "smoker's skin".
L-ascorbic acid is the active form of vitamin C, which is famous for its multidirectional action - it accelerates healing, has anti-inflammatory properties, brightens the skin, supports blood vessels and is an excellent antioxidant, hence L-ascorbic acid. The acid is indispensable in the summer!
Lactobionic acid - if your skin is very sensitive, sun-damaged, lacks moisture and is accompanied by erythema, it is worth enriching your existing care with a product with lactobionic acid, it will effectively improve its hydration and reduce the above symptoms.
Ferulic acid is an acid that is especially suitable for skin with the first signs of aging.
Lactic acid - increases skin elasticity, skin tension, and hydration levels. It is mild, so it is suitable for even the most sensitive skin.
Even though the acids listed above can be used in summer, don't forget to use creams with SPF. UV radiation has an intensive effect on the skin, accelerating its aging. The sun's rays are extremely dangerous in connection with cancer.
