Sensitive or reactive skin

When the skin barrier, made up of cells and sebum, weakens, it becomes more susceptible to environmental irritants such as pollution, chemicals, temperature, ultraviolet rays, infrared and blue light. The skin reacts and becomes inflamed when blood vessels dilate, causing redness, swelling, and itching. Chronic inflammation is the cause of many skin problems such as rosacea, eczema and dermatitis.

Advice:

Avoid irritating ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, fragrances, sulfates, essential oils, physical and chemical exfoliants.

Always protect yourself from the sun by wearing a hat and sunscreen.

Protect your face from the pollution, infrared and blue light that digital screens expose us to.

Some active ingredients that may help improve this condition include hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, peptides, and coenzyme Q10.

Drink enough water and eat foods rich in omega-3s, as well as foods such as avocados, olive oil, fruits and vegetables.

Mature skin

The first sign of mature skin is moisture loss and gradual fading. When the metabolism slows down, physiological and hormonal changes are inevitable, which are reflected in the skin, producing less elastic fibers and undergoing changes in pigmentation.

Pimples on the skin

Pimples are promoted by excessive sebum production, the presence of bacteria, and clogged pores that cause inflammation. Terms such as comedones, papules, and pustules are used to describe their shape.

Overproduction of fat occurs due to hormonal changes, dirt, stress, certain food and cosmetic products that clog pores, called comedogens.

Advice:

Be aware that antibiotics promote bacterial resistance on the skin and damage the intestinal flora, which is essential for good health. The lack of healthy intestinal flora very often leads to acne.

It is important to moisturize the skin with water-based serums.

Use a non-greasy sunscreen to prevent photodamage and discoloration.

Acne needs to be treated holistically, and in order to improve acne-prone skin, you need to implement quality-of-life habits, such as making dietary changes to avoid foods high in simple carbohydrates, as well as trans and saturated fats.

Get enough sleep and implement better stress and anxiety management techniques.
