Oily skin is characterized by excessive secretion of sebum produced by the sebaceous glands. Sebum is very necessary for every skin type, because it protects it from water loss, environmental influences, pathogens and rapid aging. Despite these positive aspects of sebum secretion, in some people, the skin produces excess sebum. The result is a strong radiance of the skin and the formation of imperfections in the form of open and closed comedones, and sometimes inflammatory acne.
The main need of oily skin is to normalize excess sebum production and prevent the formation of imperfections.
Step one - skin cleansing
Morning cleansing of oily skin should be based on the use of preparations in the form of a gel or foam. These cosmetic products, combined with water, emulsify the remains of evening care and sebum secreted at night.
