Lips

Korean lip care consists of cleansing, moisturizing and nourishing.

Lip cleansing involves removing makeup. For deeper cleansing, lip scrubs can be used to help remove dead skin cells. Small particles of the scrub allow you to remove unnecessary skin cells, and the acids in the scrub exfoliate the skin well.

Korean night masks, hydrogel lip patches and moisturizing balms are used to moisturize and nourish the skin of the lips. Night masks provide long-lasting deep hydration at night when skin cells are regenerating. Hydrogel patches are a remedy for the rapid restoration of lip skin. Lip balms keep your lips hydrated throughout the day.

The lips must be protected at any time of the year, depending on their condition. For a proper result, you need to take complex care of your lips. The online store of Korean cosmetics Meliora Beauty Shop delivers orders to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.

Why do lips dry and crack?

The reasons why the skin on the lips quickly becomes dry and cracked with the onset of autumn and a drop in temperature are easy to explain. Our skin on the lips lacks self-protection, since the skin on them is arranged differently than on the rest of the face. The skin of the lips is much thinner and does not have sebaceous glands that could form a protective layer of oil. Thus, moisture can easily escape from the deeper layers of the skin, since there is no oily film on the skin to prevent it.

In fact, this is also a problem that everyone who suffers from dry skin has. In the case of lips, however, due to their nature, they are, so to speak, pre-programmed to dry out very quickly, especially at low temperatures.

The effect is enhanced by constant hydration of the lips, for example, saliva. Anyone who licks their lips often knows that at some point the skin becomes red, tight and sore.

Dry lips are more likely to occur during the cold season, as then the humidity is usually especially low. Heating inside, and outside the wind and rain - this is, so to speak, a death blow for sensitive lips.

Nutrient Deficiencies and Skin Diseases as Causes of Chapped and Sensitive Lips

Not only cold and dry air can be the cause of chapped and chapped lips, but also nutritional deficiencies and some skin conditions. However, it is usually expressed somewhat differently and, especially in the case of a deficiency, usually affects the corners of the mouth rather than the entire lip. Iron or vitamin B2 deficiency can lead to torn corners of the mouth, called angular rhinitis. However, in the worst cases, it can also be a symptom of diabetes, so this question should be clarified just in case.

First of all, dry and chapped lips are also particularly sensitive and therefore more susceptible to viruses, bacteria or fungi. The best known of these is probably the herpes virus, which causes unsightly blisters and tumors and is highly contagious.

What exactly can I do about dry lips?

The first impulse for dry and chapped lips is care! Lip balms usually quickly relieve tension, and lips immediately become more elastic and well-groomed. This in itself is absolutely correct, because in this case, the lips need moisture.

Can lip care products be addictive?

So, now to the question of all questions: is lip care addictive or not? The answer is yes and no. The good news is that lip care ingredients are definitely not addictive.

However, what can be highly addictive is the feeling of smooth and well-groomed lips. Once you stop using lip balm, your lips will become rough and dry. However, this is often misleading because the lips only feel rough to the touch, so to speak, compared to lips that have been gently applied with balm. In addition, the problem with dry air reappears as soon as you give up lip care and return to the place where you were before. Lips become dry and chapped.

The bottom line is that this is not a lip care addiction, but simply a problem that many people face in the fall and winter. Refusal of skin care due to fear of addiction is also not a solution. For most of them, dry lips will go away on their own once spring arrives.

Therefore, we support lip care, because dry lips that are not taken care of are not very beautiful, and can also lead to ulcers, pain, or even infections.
