Exfoliating pads: clear and radiant skin in one swipe

Exfoliating pads are the latest facial exfoliation method that is not only practical, but highly effective. These are thin pads impregnated with fruit acid (AHA) and salicylic acid (BHA) and other active ingredients. The acids and active ingredients are so perfectly dosed that the pads are also suitable for beginners who want to try AHAs and BHAs.

How do peel pads work?

Used once or twice a week, the peeling pads provide clean, smooth skin and unclog pores. The special exfoliating liquid in which the pads are impregnated also helps the skin strengthen its protective barrier and protect against free radicals.

These are different hydroxy acids that have an exfoliating effect. AHAs include glycolic, lactic and mandelic acids. They act mainly on the skin and remove dead skin cells, reduce age spots and ensure better absorption of active ingredients. BHAs work predominantly in the skin and remove sebum from pores, have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.

Who are exfoliating pads for?

In fact, exfoliating pads are suitable for all skin types. While AHA is a good choice for dry and rough skin, BHA has a positive effect on oily and problematic skin. With regular use, you can rebalance the skin's protective barrier and achieve an even complexion.

Proper use of exfoliating pads

The practical peeling pads are very easy to use. However, it is worth paying attention to a few points. We explain how it works:

Cleanse your face as usual and avoid harsh mechanical peels beforehand. The combination of both peels will irritate and overburden the skin.

Now take a pad from the jar and gently rub it over your face, neck and décolleté without rubbing your skin. Be sure to avoid the mouth and eye area.

Now you can leave the peel on the skin (depending on the manufacturer's instructions) or wash it off, letting it work for three to five minutes. If the acid stays on the skin longer than indicated by the manufacturer, it can lead to skin problems.

Then continue with your usual skin care routine using toner, serum and cream. You can also use a hydrating mask after peeling to complete your skin care routine.
