Hyaluronic acid is also major component of skin, where it is involved in tissue repair. When skin is exposed to excessive UBV rays, it becomes inflamed (sunburn) and the cells in the dermis stop producing as much hyaluronic acid, which increases the rate of its degradation. The products of hyaluronan degradation then accumulate in the skin after UV exposure.

Resmelin H is a naturally derived ingredient made from cedar leaf, prickly ash, and Japanese knotweed that has excellent antioxidative, whitening and anti-flammatory properties. It is known to minimize skin damage from ultraviolet rays, known to be the major cause of skin aging, and protect skin from external stimuli and stress.
