Normal skin is the most balanced and at the same time the least common skin type in adults. How can you recognize it? It is firm, smooth, well vascularized, properly hydrated, without pigmentation or skin imperfections, making it always look fresh and radiant.

Although normal skin does not cause problems every day, contrary to appearance, it also requires care.

What does normal skin need?

Caring for normal skin, instead of restoring the proper balance of the skin, is aimed at maintaining it. For this purpose, we will need four main care steps:

  • make-up removal and cleansing - do this at least twice a day. It is recommended to wash your face with a soft gel intended for the care of normal skin in the morning and evening. At night, it also accumulates pollutants such as grease and dirt. Cleanse it before applying cream in the morning! Evening make-up removal (if you use cosmetics) and cleansing are also mandatory items in your beauty ritual. You will wash away the impurities accumulated during the day and prepare the skin for the absorption of the active components of care products applied at night;
  • toning - any skin, regardless of its type, has a disturbed pH after contact with water. Therefore, always wipe your face with toner after washing to restore the correct pH of the skin. Thanks to this, her condition will improve and allow her to absorb useful substances from cosmetics well;
  • Hydration – Every skin type needs moisture. Normal skin can be moisturized with cosmetics with a light, hydrogel formula, as well as with a richer consistency (for example, depending on the season). She will have enough light formulas, and more saturated ones will not overload her;
  • UV Protection – Skin, regardless of type, must always be protected from the harmful effects of UV radiation. The sun's rays cause photoaging of the skin, resulting in faster formation of wrinkles, loss of elasticity and resistance to external factors.

Do people with normal skin need to use exfoliation?

Of course! Normal skin needs regular cleansing to stay healthy, so exfoliate with a natural exfoliator at least once a week. Remember, however, that this type of skin does not require a very thorough cleansing, so it is worth choosing a natural peel with a moderately intensive effect.

Which toner is suitable for normal skin?

Cleansing the skin always slightly disturbs its pH, so after a natural peel, it is necessary to use a toner that will restore the proper level of skin acidity. The toner will also prepare the skin for the next step of skin care - the application of face cream or other natural cosmetics - by stabilizing the skin's hydro-lipid barrier. Toner is one of the most important cosmetic products for normal skin, so it definitely needs to find a place in your cosmetic bag.
